About Roderick
Distinguished American tenor Roderick George made his New York Lincoln Center debut as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah at David Geffen Hall with the National Chorale. Regularly engaged as a soloist in major concert and oratorio works, his repertoire spans from Bach's Magnificat and Mozart’s Requiem, through Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Rossini's Stabat Mater, to Carl Orff's Carmina Burana and contemporary works by Adolphus Hailstork. An avid recitalist, he specializes in songs settings of poems by Paul Laurence Dunbar and Langston Hughes. Additionally, he is a highly regarded voice teacher with nearly two decades of collegiate instructional experience.
